Wonderful Article about Lulla Sierra Johns - Tahmoh's Mother
The Vancouver Courier has a wonderful article about Lulla Sierra Johns, Tahmoh's mother. The article is incredibly moving and inspiring. I urge everyone to read it.
I often hesitate to post articles about Tahmoh's family. As a mother and wife, I never want to cross the line that separates my appreciation of Tahmoh as an actor, producer, and activist from delving into his personal life. But Tahmoh posted this article on the Facebook fan page, and I feel that he'd appreciate my posting it here as well.

This was a truly wonderful and inspiring article. Ms. Johns is an inspiration to those of us who find ourselves questioning whether or not there's still hope for our people.
ReplyDeleteWell-written, humbling, informative, inspiring. I wish we had more people and programs like this in the US. It's very sad that the people with the deepest roots in this country are now our most critically neglected demographic.

I've always appreciated the respectful tone of this site - it's nice to be able to trust that I can come here and not worry about having to sift through a wasteland of gossipy, invasive personal stuff. I don't come across many fan sites that have that kind of integrity. But I agree that this piece was worthy of an exception, and I'm grateful that you shared it with us.
