"Resurrection Ship, Part 1" airs tonight!

BSG returns tonight with the first part of "Resurrection Ship" airing on Sci-fi at 10pm ET.

If you still haven't seen the Sci-fi Inside: BSG special, it's now also available as a streaming video over at

In the run up to the premiere a bunch of interesting and spoilery articles have appeared. Here are some of the best:

Chicago Tribune: "President Roslin gets tough on 'Battlestar Galactica'"

Be prepared for even more mindboggling twists and turns as the season heads toward a conclusion that’s full of “curveballs,” according to “Battlestar Galactica” executive producer Ron Moore.
Baltimore Sun: "Sci-fi escapism has a touch of reality"
"All these situations are pretty much things that you could imagine human beings doing in desperate situations with different agendas and in conflict with one another, like wasting inordinate time and resources while they're facing an even greater threat from without. Because it seems like one of the circumstances of human existence is our ability to really [hurt] ourselves.

"Science fiction at its best is socially relevant, interesting and provocative," Moore added.
Hollywood North Report: "Battlestar Galactica Set Visit, Part I"
Edward James Olmos: This series and its stories reflect everything we’re going through here on Earth right now. It’s amazing to me, quite honestly, the way Ron Moore and his staff have encompassed what’s going on in the outside world, and psychologically the emotional trauma that is happening to all individuals, particularly with respect to fear and how that fear plays into our everyday lives on the planet right now. Our 21st century has much more inherent fear than the 20th century did, in my estimation. And in our show, everything essentially revolves around the fear of dying and human extinction.
Scripps Howard News Service: "Rebellious Starbuck in for another rough ride"
Katee Sackhoff says she often feels the urge to strangle her "Battlestar Galactica" character _ the rebellious, childish Starbuck.

"Many, many times," Sackhoff said in a phone interview from Los Angeles. "I think it's way (Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace) acts toward people.

  1. Justine,

The LA Times (I live in LA) ran an interview with Mary McDonnell about BSG on Sunday Jan 1 if anyone is interested.

Plus, there is a plug for BSG in the current Star Magazine (icky mag, good plug).
