Twitter

You may have noticed the Twitter updates on the right sidebar. We are now tweeting as @AboutTahmoh. This isn't Tahmoh's personal Twitter account, however - as far as we know, he isn't on Twitter.

Lisa and I both felt that we could update you with the latest news, and to help plug all the different  projects that Tahmoh's involved in, such as Tartarus, on a different social media platform on top of the site here and Facebook. Plus, fans have been tweeting pictures of Tahmoh's appearances at conventions as well, so what better way than to share those moments?

So if you're on Twitter, do come and join us there!

Admin Post: Do you use our flickr site?

The AATP flickr-pro account is about to expire. I'm trying to decide if I should renew it, as it does involve a fee. I'm happy to pay the rather small fee for the site if people are actually enjoying and using the photos we store on the flickr site. But, if people aren't using it, I'm not going to renew. So, please comment below or over at the Facebook page and let us know if you use the flickr site.

Edit: The AATP Flickr account is now set for two more years!  Thanks all for your support of AATP and of Tahmoh!

Site News

An announcement: Bertha is now an official admin of the site! As regular readers here and at the Facebook site know, she's been helping out behind the scenes in a lot of ways, but now she's stepped up to an admin. Bertha is a lot more skilled in HTML, website upkeep and maintenance, and blogging than I am. I have learned a lot from her and hope to continue to do so. However, now Bertha will have the ability to make changes herself rather than waiting for me to learn them first! I'm really glad to have her agree to being an admin. Justine and I will continue to serve as administrators of the site, making posts, communicating with fans, and, most importantly, keeping the Tahmoh information flowing.

Be looking for some updated widgets and other changes in the next few weeks. We believe we have finally transferred all permissions needed to update the site more fully than we've been able to in the past. Please be patient as Bertha and I figure out how to make the changes and keep everything integrated.

Flickr Pro Site Up and Running Again

After some unexpected glitches, we have successfully renewed the All About Tahmoh Penikett Flickr Pro site! Hundreds of pictures that have been unavailable for quite a while are now back for your enjoyment. Please make sure to credit AATP - or the original source if it is not AATP - when you repost any of the pictures. Thanks to Bertha for her assistance.

Next up for site maintenance - updating those very old Amazon widgets!

Charity Support, Podcast, and Mortal Kombat

A new site, Checkers Green, has featured some of the charities Tahmoh supports. "Checkers Green is a central hub for Battlestar Galactica fans to find information on the latest charity efforts by members of the cast." To help them out, Tahmoh gave us an update on the charities he support. In addition to his continued support of Caleb's Hope, participation in such events as the AIDS Walk and Food on Foot in Los Angelas, and various other fundraisers and charity auctions, Tahmoh regularly supports Falling Whistles and ChildFund International (formerly The Christian Children's Fund). Check out the websites of all these organizations to learn more and find out how you can help.

SciFi Diner interviewed Tahmoh at Farpoint. His interview begins about 36 minutes into the podcast.

Site News: Bertha, who is handling the graphics for the site, and I have been working out some issues with Flickr. We hope to have them cleared up this week, which will allow us to renew our Flickr Pro Account. This will mean renewed access to older pictures of Tahmoh from Trapped Ashes, Whistler, BSG, and more.

Site Maintenance - RSS, Email, and LJ

Doing some site maintenance such as cleaning up out-of-date tags, broken links, etc. This may cause those of you who received updates via RSS, email and Live Journal to get spammed. My apologies ahead of time.

New Tahmoh Videos

Homorazzi attended the Jet Set Crew's 2010 Vancouver International Film Festival Red Carpet event at Canvas Lounge in Vancouver last weekend. They posted this star-studded video at You Tube. Tahmoh appears several times.

PSA: Those of you on Facebook know that Michelle has turned the administration of Tahmoh's Facebook Fan Page over to me. I'll still be posting here, but if you're on Facebook, be sure to go to Tahmoh's page and press "like" for short-term updates in between the more in-depth posts here.

Update in Process

Just wanted to let everyone know that we're slowly but surely getting around to updating the site. Much of this is "behind the scenes" - updating Tahmoh's filmography and the list of questions he's answered, for example. Still a work in progress (I'm updating some links still), but at least it's progress!

We know that some of the older links no longer work because the original host has deleted the content or no longer exists. As I run across these broken links, I'll delete them, but be sure to comment or drop us an email if you find a broken link.
