New screencaps of Hush (2005)

Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US. To celebrate (and make up for the absence of Helo in Saturday's Razor), I've made dozens of new screencaps of the first 20 minutes of Tahmoh's 2005 Lifetime TV movie, Hush. Seemed appropriate with its themes of family and togetherness...

If you haven't seen the film before, be sure to check out previous posts on the subject: Hush (2005). As the Hush's not scheduled to air for a while, here's a brief recap of what happens in the first 20 minutes so you can follow along:

Young Noah (Tahmoh) helps abort his girlfriend Callie's (Victoria Pratt) baby. 10 years later, karmically, his wife Nina (Tori Spelling, above) can't get pregnant--in vitro time! Noah really wants Nina to get pregnant, so he does the packing for their move back to his hometown and into his old house. (Bye bye San Francisco and Nina's mom!). Noah and Nina think they may be pregnant--baby name time! Noah heads off to work (he's a doctor).

Nina meets Noah's ex, Callie, at the local diner. Nina finds out she isn't pregnant and tells Callie. Distraught, Nina says she won't go to the welcome party (though she does show up later). Noah goes and guess who he finds? Callie! Callie leaves a suggestive note in Noah's pocket. The next day, Noah tells Callie it's all over between them--she agrees (or does she?). Noah must feel guilty even so, because he brings Nina flowers. Or maybe he wanted to score, in any case, Nina doesn't seem too interested in the sex. And um Callie's watching from the yard, which Noah notices.

Thanks to help from Michelle from Aaron Douglas Fans, I have Tahmoh's Lifetime movie Hush on DVD. I've started making screencaps that are higher resolution and not watermarked like the current ones archived at Northern Lights. I'll be making my way through the movie, but if there are any scenes in particular you'd like high-res caps of, comment here or email me.

Hush available on DVD in Australia

The Lifetime movie Hush, in which Tahmoh starred as Dr. Noah Hamilton, is now available on DVD, but only in Australia (and only for rental?), it seems. Here's the DVD cover (click for higher-res version).

Hush to reair on Lifetime

Hush, which stars Tahmoh alongside Tori Spelling and Victoria Pratt, will reair on Lifetime twice next week.

Wednesday, October 4th @ 9pm
Thursday, October 5th @ 2pm

A woman [Tori Spelling] is excited when her husband [Tahmoh Penikett] suggests that they move to the idyllic small town where he grew up. She hopes that a fresh start will lead to success for the in- vitro fertilization procedures that have failed so far. However, once they move, his vindictive ex-girlfriend [Victoria Pratt], becomes obsessed with him and focused on getting him back.

Hush to air in the UK

Tahmoh's TV thriller, Hush, will air on the Hallmark Channel in the UK early this May.

Saturday, May 6th @ 3 PM
Sunday, May 7th @ 4 AM

A doctor moves back to his home town with his wife and child in tow - but a face from the past looks set to ruin his plans to settle down when years of simmering hatred boil over into a murderous plot for revenge.

Thriller, starring Tori Spelling, Victoria Pratt, Tahmoh Penikett and Susan Hogan.

In its article about Tori Spelling, "Blonde on Blonde," Entertainment Weekly #872 reproduces a promotional photo from the Lifetime TV movie, Hush, in which Tahmoh also starred.


The magazine had this to say about Hush:

Hush (2005, Lifetime)

Spelling went back to her thriller roots with this screamfest about a newlywed struggling to get pregnant. Things get campy when her husband's psychotic ex-girlfriend steals her frozen egg.

''There's a line in so noTORIous when I'm flustered and forgetting my lines and [my friend] Janey says, 'How do you forget ''He killed my mother, he killed my cat?''' That was an actual line from Hush. I begged them to not make me say that.''

Which unfortunately makes Tahmoh's character out to be psychotic. The actual line was "She killed my mother, she killed my cat?" Dr. Noah harms no animals in the flick. Not that it really matters...

Happy Valentine's Day (& Hush!)

Here's a nice pic of Tahmoh as Dr. Noah Hamilton and Victoria Pratt as Callie, his frisky and dangerous hometown girlfriend in Hush. They look appropriately cute and date-like so I thought I'd share. Hush reairs in March on Lifetime.

Hush airing in Romania

So don't ask how I discovered this, but apparently Tahmoh's movie, Hush is currently airing in Romania.

You can read about it here, that is, if you read Romanian.

The title in Romanian is Trecut sub tacere (2005). Translation anyone?

Tonight is the last time Lifetime is airing Tahmoh's thriller, Hush, so check it out if you haven't already...

Hush must be doing well because they moved the last screening to primetime (from the early afternoon) as the lead in to the premiere of the new season of Strong Medicine. Or maybe someone in marketing liked the whole doctor link...
