Battlestar dominates VFX award nominations

As announced by IF Magazine, the nominations for the fifth-annual VES Awards, handed out by the Visual Effects Society were just announced and Battlestar topped the list of television shows nominated with 4 total nominations:

Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Series
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA - "Exodus"

Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Broadcast Program, Commercial or Music Video
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA - "Downloaded"

Outstanding Models and Miniatures in a Broadcast Program
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA - "Resurrection Ship, Part 2"

Outstanding Compositing in a Broadcast Program, Commercial or Music Video
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA - "Resurrection Ship, Part 2"

The winners will be announced Feb. 11 at the Kodak Grand Ballroom in Hollywood.
