"We want to continue to surprise the audience and subvert expectations every which way we go," said Moore, who doesn't want Battlestar to fall back into being just another TV show. "It's something different and something special. Some day it's going to be over and we're all going to want to look back and say that was a special work."

The cliffhanger ending on March 10 changed everything. So what's next? "It's life under the cylon occupation to begin with, and it ain't pretty," said Moore.
