Battlestar Canada (2003 Premiere)
This isn't exactly ground-breaking news, but I thought I'd post it for your viewing enjoyment anyways. Later in the week I'll be posting about a new video I've found of Tahmoh... (the anticipation builds).
Sorelle Saidman spoke briefly with Tahmoh after the premiere of Battlestar Galactica in 2003, here's what she wrote in The Vancouver Province. From the December 5, 2003 "Entertainment Today" section, pg. B7

The word of the day was "eh" at the premiere of Battlestar Galactica when it screened at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles Tuesday.
Just a handful of the principals starring in the Sci Fi network mini-series shot here earlier this year hailed from the U.S. The rest of the cast was Canadian, confirms Tahmoh Penikett, who plays Lt. Helo in the show.
Penikett, on the phone from L.A., tells us he spotted fellow locals (or near-locals) including Tricia Helfer, Kandyse McClure, Grace Park, Aaron Douglas and Alonso Oyarzun at the event. Penikett says he loved the show -- a given, one would think, coming from one of the stars. But not always, as evidenced by Edward James Olmos's dissing of the production a couple of months back. Still, it seems even Olmos has changed his mind. He told the Sci Fi Wire news site that he quite enjoyed the thing this time around.
The Yukon-born, Vancouver Island-based Penikett, by the way, isn't all that well known even in his home country but that should change when his upcoming role on CTV's Cold Squad is finally unveiled, possibly in February.
