Galactica nominated for 2007 Spaceys & a Hugo

BSG is nominated in several categories for the Spaceys, awarded each year by Canada's Space Channel. Some of the awards are determined by viewer's choice online votes, among them:

• Favorite TV Show - Battlestar Galactica
• Favorite Character You Love to Hate
• James Callis
• Tricia Helfer
• Favorite TV Character - Katee Sackhoff

Vote for Battlestar now! (no registration req'd)

BSG won "Favorite TV Show" last year and "Favorite Limited TV Show" the year before. So be sure to vote to make Galactica a winner again this year. If they win, the Spaceys crew visits the cast on set!

Sci-Fi wire recently reported that Galactica was among the nominees for this year's Hugo Awards, which are chosen by the membership of the World Science Fiction Convention.

The Battlestar Galactica episode "Downloaded" was nominated in the category of Dramatic Presentation, Short Form. The winners will be announced at the 65th Worldcon, Aug. 3-Sep. 3, in Yokohama, Japan.

BSG won last year for "Favourite Limited TV Show".

In a sea of boring television award shows, the SPACEYS is the only one that avoids podiums and red carpets. Instead, we take the show around the globe to stalk find the winners, wherever they happen to be, and present them with our much coveted silver statuette!

New Poll: Question for visitors

I've created a short site related poll at right.

I have 4 episodes of Tahmoh in "Cold Squad" as well as his guest spot on "Just Cause" and his appearance at the Spaceys thanks to a terrific Canadian fan. I'd be willing to make screen caps of one or all of them if enough people are interested.

So if you'd like to see pics of these appearances, please vote, comment or email me.

I've already made a few caps of each of them, let me know if you want to see more:

• Cold Squad episodes (caps from 3 eps archived at Northern Lights)
• Just Cause guest role as high school principal
• 2006 Spacey Awards with various members of the BSG cast

I just ask because it takes a long time to make and post caps and I'd like to know whether or not people really want to see them. Cheers!

See Tahmoh in the 2006 Spaceys

Space has posted two highlight clips from last week's Spacey Awards presentation show. Clip A has a hilarious exchange between Grace Park and Katee Sackhoff. Tahmoh is in Clip B accepting the Spacey for Favorite TV Show along with Katee, Grace, Kandyse McClure and Michael Hogan.
